Another magical holiday season has come and is heading out quickly. It really is a wonderful time of year, especially with the kids. Victoria still lives in awe of Santa, even though she is wondering how he manages to do all of his important deeds (like, eating the cookies!). Amanda had a good Christmas, except for a few missing brand-labels and touch screens. We actually slept until 7:38 Christmas morning (a monumental, record-setting event in our house... Susan usually has us up by 2:30 a.m.). We spent the holidays at home this year. A lot of relaxing and doing things as a family (as much as possible with a teenager who likes to sleep most of the day and play at night with her friends). It makes it tougher to get family pictures, but we managed a few Christmas morning.

On the 31st we had lunch at Texas Roadkill. Steak and Shrimp... yumm! New Years Eve Amanda went dancing and then watched a movie in the basement with a bunch of friends... who all fell asleep until I woke them up at 5:30! Some pretty shocked kids. Susan, Victoria and I stayed home. New Years Day Amanda recovered by sleeping. Susan, Victoria and I went to the junior high and went sledding for a while. Victoria had a blast! Now I'm sitting listening to the DVD menu music for
Coraline. I guess that means Victoria is working on a project in some other part of the house!
2009 was o.k. I wouldn't give it too many stars. Here's looking forward to a great new year! Now I'm going to call and arrange to get our driveway plowed... it's been snowing pretty steady for 2 days and we are having trouble getting out of the drive!
Have a Happy New Year! We hope to see many of you this year! Lots of love!
